I’m a yoga teacher

and student for over twelve years. A severe injury led me to yoga in high school, and I didn’t know at the time, but it would be the best thing that ever happened to me. Over time, yoga has helped me manage anxiety, depression, PTSD and lots of other crummy stuff. I love watching yoga benefit my student’s lives as it has for me.

I’m a mom

to a rambunctious, free-spirited girl named Waverly James. We like to make music together and color outside of the lines. Having her around keeps me more accountable than ever. Children have the ability to draw your yoga practice off the mat and into real life like nothing I’ve ever experienced, it’s beautiful.

I’m a writer

who co-hosted The Monday Night Writers at my writing studio in Fishtown, Philadelphia, working alongside so many creative geniuses. I was a featured artist for the Democratic National Convention’s, “Rock the Vote, Truth to Power!” campaign and hung alongside Banksy, Shepard Fairey and many other noteworthy artists. My poetry-graffiti still litters the streets under the alias, Bursera Grave.

I’m a small business owner

slangin’ the freshest lemonades you’ve ever had. I love lemons and the way I feel when I drink a cold, fresh-squeezed lemonade. I wanted to bring that same sexy-fresh feeling to the masses, so I started a lemonade business, Seatox, creating artisan elixirs and lemonades (PS - they go great with cocktails). Find me Saturday mornings at the Brigantine Farmer’s Market 8:30am-12pm @ 15th and Revere.

When life gives you lemons, make delicious lemonade.

For real, I make lemonade. Refreshing, sweet, tart, delicious lemonade. You can find me at local farmers markets around Brigantine and Atlantic City.

her skin smelled like maple syrup
was just as tanned and smooth,
and like sap that ran from maple trees,
she knew how to run, too

and if you want to see sandy squishy baby tushies…
